3月8日は国際女性デー。世界DPI副議長よりメッセージ

2019年03月11日障害女性国際協力／海外活動障害者権利条約の完全実施

先週3月8日は、国際女性デーでした。

世界DPIでは国際女性デーのために、副議長のDinah Radtkeがメッセージを出しました。

障害者権利条約のさらなる実施の可能性と、2030年のSDGｓの先を見据えた女性障害者の貢献の可能性を述べていますので、ご紹介します。

○国際女性デーとは
１９０４年３月８日にアメリカ・ニューヨークで婦人参政権を求めたデモが起源となり、１９１０年のコペンハーゲンでの国際社会主義会議にて「女性の政治的自由と平等のために戦う日」と提唱したことから始まりました。その後、国連は１９７５年の国際婦人年において、３月８日を『国際女性デー（International Women’s Day）』と制定。以後、これまでの前進を振り返り、変革を呼びかけ、国や社会の歴史上すばらしい役割を果たした一般の女性たちの勇気と決断を称える日として、世界各地でそれぞれの国の歴史と伝統に応じて、様々な働きかけが行われています。（引用元：https://happywoman.online/useful/iwd/）

国際女性デー2019

DPIは障害を持つ女性や少女を取り残さないため、制度を変えようと戦い、運動をしています。

私達はまだまだ多くの障害を持つ女性や少女の人権のために、たくさん戦っていかなければいけません。

障害者権利条約は、未だ世界中の多くの国で実施が求められています。

障害を持つ女性や少女は社会で複合的不平等や差別に直面しています。彼女たちは、ジェンダーと障害の両方で、文化的、社会的、経済的、政治的、市民としての権利を否定されてきました。

それにも関わらず、障害を持つ女性や少女たちは世界中のある場所では、自分たちの状況を変えようとしてきましたが、彼女たちが求める本当の平等とインクルージョンからはいまだ程遠く、彼女たちは障害女性の社会的地位の向上、エンパワーメントを求めています。

2030年SDGsのアジェンダと誰も取り残さないためのコミットメント（約束）では、障害女性と少女の不平等を減らすことに注力をし、人権に基づいたアプローチを取ることの重要性が強調されています。

経済成長は、平等を促進し、働き続けられる仕事を与えるインクルーシブなものでなくてはいけません。

女性に対する悪しき慣習の根絶と職場の平等に対する新しい法制度の実施は、世界中で行われているジェンダーや障害に基づく差別を終わらせる為に、大変重大なことです。

障害を持つ女性や少女たちが、経済的意思決定に関わり、政治参加をし、働きやすい職場で働き、健康で、教育を平等に受けられるようにすることは、社会、人類全体にとても良いことでしょう。

私たち障害を持つ女性がより自信を持ち、私達が必要としていることを知り、その為に戦います。
なぜなら私達障害を持つ女性や少女は、社会全体を幸福にすることができる可能性を秘めている事を認められなければいけないし、それは事実であるからです。

International Women’s Day 2019

Disabled Peoples International is lobbying and fighting for a change in politics for women and girls with disabilities not to be left behind!

We still have to fight quite a lot for the Human Rights for women and girls with disabilities.

The Convention for the Rights for People with Disabilities still needs implementation in many countries of the world.

Women and girls with disabilities continue to face multiple inequalities and discrimination in the society. They experience denial of civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights based on both gender and disability.

But nevertheless women and girls with disabilities experience in some parts of the world some improvement of their situation but they are still far from real equality and inclusion and they need empowerment!

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its commitment to leaving no one behind gives heightened attention to reducing the inequality of women and girls with disabilities and stresses the importance of taking a human rights based approach.

Economic growth must be inclusive to provide sustainable jobs and promote equality.

Implementing new legal frameworks regarding female equality in the workplace and the eradication of harmful practices targeted at women is crucial to ending the gender-and disability-based discrimination prevalent in many countries around the world.

Providing women and girls with disabilities with equal access to education, health care, decent work, and representation in political and economic decision-making processes will benefit societies and humanity at large.

We women with disabilities have become more selfconfident we know what we need and we are fighting for it because it is a fact and has to be recognized that we, women with disabilities, make potential contributions to the overall well-being of our communities.
